New blog at wordpress.spudmonkey.org

posted by Gardie @ 1:57am, Sunday 2 November 2008.

Because this software package doesn't have all the features of a full service blog, I have moved to wordpress. Since there is no way to directly migrate all of the data from this package, I am leaving this site up until after the elections, and then will migrate it by hand.

The new site is at http://wordpress.spudmonkey.org

This site will no longer be updated.

Another TV station loses rights to interview Obama / Biden

posted by Gardie @ 9:50am, Tuesday 28 October 2008.

It looks like Biden was asked another difficult question and lost any further right to interview the presidential / vice presidential sleezeballs.

As one person has suggested, "Here's a good example of the 'Fairness Doctrine' in action, but you ain't seen nothin' yet."

I'll tell ya, this election scares me because we have the most liberal people this country has known in charge of both the Senate and the House of Representatives, and if Obama is elected, we will have the 2nd and 3rd most liberal people in charge of the Executive Branch. The only saving grace this country will have is the fairly conservative Supreme Court, as long as they don't decide to legislate from the bench.

Our country could seriously be on the brink of turning into a socialist country, very similar to France or Germany. With the current takeover of the various financial institutions, and possible a couple of automakers, what is nextω Will Pelosi and Reid stage a take over of American oil companies like Chavez in Venzuela?

Don't laugh, we are moving in that direction...

Obama claims he never paid ACORN anything

posted by Gardie @ 9:11am, Monday 27 October 2008.

Biden claimed that the Obama campaign did not pay "one cent" to ACORN.

That's true. They paid at least $832,598 to ACORN. And 29 cents. Obama paid ACORN for voter registration.

The Ohio primary was March 4. According to FEC records, the Obama campaign paid Citizens Services Inc. $832,598.29, from Feb. 25 to May 17.

A Trib analysis of campaign finance reports showed Obama paid CSI for services that stood out as unusual. For example, CSI received payments of $63,000 and $75,000 for advance work. Excluding the large payments to CSI, the average amount the Obama campaign spent with other organizations was $558.82 per check on more than 1,200 entries classified as advance work.

Citizens Services Inc. is headquartered at the same address as ACORN's national headquarters in New Orleans. Citizens Services was established in December 2004 to รขωωassist persons and organizations who advance the interests of low- and moderate-income people, according to paperwork filed in Louisiana. In a 2006 ACORN publication, Citizen Services Inc. is described as ACORN's campaign services entity.
